Uploaded on Monday 29 July 2013

DESCRIPTION

Music has always been one of the crucial aspects of Afghan culture. In this video, we tell you about drums, an ancient musical instrument in Afghanistan. Al-Haj Mohammad Nabi Zadah is a drummer teacher and he teaches both boys and girls how to play drums. The Taliban banned music a decade ago, but under Hamed Karzai presidency, Afghans can now learn music and musical instruments freely. Najiba Aryan is one of Mr. Nabi Zadah students, and is very grateful that she can attend his music classes. Music can definitely enrich a country's culture, so these classes and students need to be encouraged and supported to continue learning music and help their countries improve their musical culture.
